The 2023 El Nino floods destroyed both Bardhare and Burdhubo bridges. In addition, the 2023 El Nino floods caused significant damage to the third bridge in Luq in Gedo region, rendering it to pedestrian bridge, forcing trucks with heavy loads off-limits.
